Step by Step Import Data from Text File

1. System > Administrative Tools
2. Click Import Data from External File.
3. Click on File Format Setting
4. In the column start and column end, it may need calculate every field every field number of digits. Command is use for formula. In this scenario, each field is 6 digits alphanumeric For the example may refer to step 7.
5. This is the sample output format of the others brand thumbprint machine.
6. This is the sample text file that export from the thumbprint machine.
*Note: other brand than the fingertech need check is it can use excel or text file to import.
7. From a lengthy alphanumeric, has split into every 6 digits each field to more easier to view and calculate the digit place.
8. Some field may use following command to convert input to 2 decimal point
(val(substr(cstring,13,6))/100)
9. Once import the text file, can check in the payslip.
